Valuation for litigated matters requires extraordinary performance. Not only must an appraiser prepare a well-supported, well-communicated, unbiased appraisal, but additionally an appraiser must be prepared to defend an appraisal under cross examination and deposition. A keen knowledge of appraisal practices, procedures, and regulations is required. Often, appraisals we prepare for litigation essentially become part of the public/court record. In addition to developing an unbiased opinion of value, we can provide counsel with litigation support by ascertaining the reasonableness of opposing appraisals.

Experience
Gregory P. Wingerd, MAI, ASA has been a real estate appraiser and consultant since 1976. John Wingerd has been a real estate appraiser and consultant since 2000. Appraisals have included a variety of property types and ownership interests. The purpose of appraisals has been to develop opinions of market value, investment value, and market rent, as well as value diminution caused by various stimuli. Intended use of appraisals has been for loan decision-making, partnership dissolution, divorce, inheritance/estate issues, gifting, foreclosure, bankruptcy, eminent domain, and other uses. Service Area
We are based in Huntington Beach and provide appraisal services throughout Orange County, as well as in Los Angeles County with focus on the Long Beach/South Bay area, the Gateway Cities/Southeast Los Angeles County area, and the San Gabriel Valley. Appraisal requests in Central Los Angeles, the Westside, and the San Fernando Valley are also accepted. Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego, and Ventura Counties may also be served upon special request. Expert witness services requiring in-court testimony are provided in Orange County courts.
